Had a fair nights’ sleep and was up at 6:30am but then
had to wait until 8am for breakfast. Would rather not get breakfast at the
hotel but get my own early and get on the road. However, breakfast was great
and allows one to take a bit extra for lunch.
Today we decided to cut across to Bodman instead of going to Konstanz. Stopped for some delicious strawberries for mornos then later to have lunch beside the lake with the swans and their cygnets. Finished up for the day at Meersburg – the “prettiest town of the lake”.
Our room in the hotel had a kitchen so I cooked up some
chicken stew. Not bad if I do say so myself; it all got eaten! Meersburg is a
great place to wander around, through all the little back alleys.
