Rest day
Because
we did so well yesterday in the km stakes, we could afford to have a day off
and have a good look around. After a nice breakfast we decided to try and go to
Zurich for the day. So, we walked across to the Swiss side and bought tickets
to Zurich for €22.50 ea return. It took 40 minutes on a nice train with one
change at Baden. Zurich was nice, just another big city though with plenty of
trams. Walked all day on my own – did the lake area. Little Venice, couple of
churches (in one, the longer you looked at the stained-glass windows, the more
you saw), Botanical Gardens, Opera House, shopping street and the city area.
Zurich is a little different, not that special, but very, very expensive!
