Left Dale’s early in the morning and caught the train to Euston Station in Central London. I did try the Tube first but they told me to catch the above ground train as bikes weren’t allowed on the Tube. I then caught another train to Dave (friend from the Brit Army) and Olive Gray’s in Rushden, Northamptonshire. I was just able to squeeze the bike and gear in the back of Olive’s little car and she drove me home from the station. They took me out to dinner at a lovely old pub which looked like an ex-coach station. Had a nice steak and kidney pie with veggies. Dave’s car window went down and wouldn’t go up so we mucked about with it for ages at home getting it to go up again. Had a great stay with Dave and Olive, they took me around the local area and we did a nice ride together around a nearby new estate on the last day.
